Would be good to be able to export one or section or entire book to PDF or some other format?
At the moment when creating a pdf for one page it also adds a cover page which I really don't want. Can we have an option to remove this?
This is a bug when the rest of the quoted text can't fit on this page, there is a weird long-quote-bar-"leakage"
I tested out the export to PDF beta. Overall it's not bad, I have some suggestions for the dev team, from actual use.
When exporting to PDF, allow options to include the following:
1. include table of contents with links? yes/no -- when reading online, there is a table of contents, but when exporting, there is none.
2. allow to select a font -- on screen fonts are not as comfortable to read when printed. there are fonts better suited for that. let us choose from some basic options or at least have (serif/sans-serif). also font size could be nice.
3. allow to format the pdf in academic format, abstract and columns.
I finally created a CLI that generates a single .md file, then a single .html file and then a single .pdf file using PhantomJS.
😥 PDF export doesn't support emojis. Need emoji support 🤝

@Laurence Portron One single person who would like to use this feature would have to pay 300$ a month ?
surely you must be joking
Or do you think you will deploy to other plans ?
@Marc Dupré: I believe they are rolling it as Beta just for for Business plan owners. They will eventually release it for others. It was a free feature in GitBook 1.0, it wouldn't make sense for it to be a premium feature now.
We are currently working on PDF export with which you will be able to:
- export your entire space
- export a subset of pages
This will be released as a beta feature on the business plan in the next couple of weeks.
@Laurence Portron: 🚀🌖
@Laurence Portron: Thank you! :-D
@Laurence Portron: Awesome :)
Wish it was there for the team plan as well...
@Laurence Portron: Amazing!

For international organisation, published pdf are still ruling and will rule for many more years. This feature is important for the extension to make document everything possible in IO.
